Blocked Party podcast cover art

Blocked Party is a podcast hosted by John and Stefan Heck, two internet idiots who bring a guest on every week to talk about a time they were blocked on social media. The show was #1 on the A.V. Club’s 2019 ‘Best of the Internet’ list, and was named one of Vulture’s Top Comedy Podcasts for 2022. The show has featured a wide range of guests such as Tony Hawk, James Austin Johnson, Nikki Glaser, Ike Barinholtz, and the Doughboys.

In 2024 John released Broomgate: A Curling Scandal, a six-episode narrative in association with Kelly&Kelly, USG Audio and CBC Podcasts. Over the course of the series, John is exposing the unbelievable, never-before-told scandal that rocked the sport of curling. Yes, curling.

For years, players have been too afraid to talk about it. But with the release of Broomgate, the truth about a broom that almost destroyed curling is finally coming out anywhere you get your podcasts.

It’s what the world had been waiting for…the first-ever comedy podcast about Jeopardy! Together with his co-host Emily Heller (comedian and TV writer on Barry, Search Party and The Great North), John breaks down every week in Jeopardy!, from the crazy contestants to the wacky anecdotes. With an eye towards what the J! Community loves and is talking about every week online, the goal is to have some laughs and talk about TV’s smartest show very stupidly. And we are meeting that goal.

The P.O.D. Kast is John’s other podcast that he hosts with Bryan Quinby of the acclaimed Guys podcast. After discovering Bryan shared the same love for nu-metal music that John did on an episode of Blocked Party, the two began to collaborate, and together, they review one “classic” nu-metal album every month, from Korn to Limp Bizkit and back again. Despite being ostensibly each host’s “second” podcast, the show does an impressive number of downloads each month and has found a home with people who love to revisit one of music’s most maligned genres.
