John Cullen and Kody Audette are the Vancouver Corporate Roasters! Have a boss or CEO that needs to be knocked down a peg? Is it someone’s 40th birthday and you really want to drive home that it’s all downhill from here? Allow us to guide you and your party through one of the most memorable nights of your life. We’ll work with you to create unique, one-of-a-kind material to give you and your group a special night that you cannot get anywhere else. As an added bonus, we’ll combine the roasting with some conventional stand-up comedy to ensure everyone has the best night possible.

Together, Kody and John have been hosting Roast Battle: Vancouver for the last three years, a show where comedians battle each other with one-on-one roasting, a concept originally developed in Los Angeles by Brian Moses (as seen on Comedy Central). One of the comedy scene’s most popular shows, it won the Vancouver Comedy Award for Best Monthly Show two years in a row and sells out every single month. They have a ton of experience roasting other comedians, audiences, and corporate clients, and will be more than happy to tailor a series of jokes that will leave your business, bachelor/ette party, or birthday party rolling in the aisles.

What Does It Look Like?

Before the show, a point person will work with Kody and John to give details about the guest(s) of honour, and Kody and John will develop a roast specifically designed for them. We are happy to work with you to avoid any subjects that would be off-limits, and we can make the roasts as clean or as dirty as you like (yes, clean roasts are possible!!). Kody will start the evening as the Roastmaster General, delivering a 7-10 minute Roast specifically directed at the Roastee, and then John will take over with another 5 minutes of roasting, followed by a 10-30-minute stand-up set to close the evening and send everyone home happy.

Virtual Roasts

While we are Vancouver’s top roasters, we also love to bring the merriment of roasting to anyone! Don’t live in Vancouver? Unable to gather due to Covid? We are happy to perform virtually too. We can roast you live or even pre-record the roast for playing at an in-person event. We’re happy to work with you to make your evening perfect.

Kody Audette has been performing stand-up comedy for a decade and is one of the Vancouver comedy scene’s most beloved comedians. Already one of the best roast comedians in the city, he took over the reigns of Roast Battle: Vancouver 3 years ago and never looked back. He hosts the show every month at Little Mountain Gallery, booking all of the guests and judges while also performing on the show himself, introducing every comedian with a pointed roast. He has lots of experience writing and performing roast jokes and will be able to tailor the roast of the Guest of Honour however you wish.
